Rumor: Safety Eric Berry Available For Chicago Bears At A Good Price

Optimum Scouting reported that safety Eric Berry could be available for draft day trades as the first round approaches.

“There’s a real possibility that Eric Berry is traded on draft day, with the Falcons being most likely. The price tag is something around a second-round pick.”

Would you make this deal if you were the Chicago Bears? Berry is a three time pro-bowler and only 25 years old. Most fans have the Chicago Bears taking a safety in the first round, what if they selected a CB instead and traded their second for Berry?

According to a Falcons blog, the likelihood of them landing Berry is only 4/10. Door is open for Chicago.

From Sports World Report:

“The NFL trade rumor mill always starts to spin around draft time and an unexpected name has come up in 2014, as one local writer thinks that the Chiefs should look into trading Eric Berry and teams like the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings all could be options for a deal.”
